food holidays

While collaborating with clients and planning menus for February’s events, do not forget about February’s exciting food holidays. Help honor the month by filling your catering food warmers with some of the following delightful treats–all of which, we might add, lend themselves naturally to the celebration of Valentine’s Day mid-month.

Menu Ideas to Celebrate February’s Food Holidays:

National Cherry Month

What better way to celebrate National Cherry Month than with this decadent Cherry Tiramisu or a delicious Sour Cherry Pie? If savory flavors are more your style, you could always try some Scallops with Cauliflower, Dried Cherries, and Capers or a Goat Cheese and Balsamic-roasted Cherry Crostini (click here and scroll down for recipe).

National Fondue Month

Whether you choose chocolate or cheese, your fondue dishes are sure to be a hit, even if you’re a fondue beginner. Those with more fondue experience may want to consult the detailed list of tasty-looking recipes posted over at Fondue Fanatics.

National Heart Healthy Month

With the mid-month Valentine’s Day focus on love, February’s the perfect month to plan heart-healthy dishes. To this end, the American Heart Association has released an entire list of heart-healthy recipes. We especially recommend the Cinnamon Quinoa with Peaches.
